I recently moved from NYC to NJ and opened a studio in North Caldwell, NJ. I have previously done all my newborn sessions on location, so I was super excited to be working out of my own studio with my very own prop room! 🙂
Within weeks of moving I reached out to Erin Elizabeth, a photographer from Australia to see if she had any upcoming newborn workshops in the US.
I shared the news of my studio opening and hoped to hear back with dates of her US workshops.
A few days later I heard back from Erin with even better news than I could have imagined…she was planning workshops in the North East and asked if I would host her workshop in NJ…and the rest was history! 🙂
Erin traveled from all the way from Australia to share her expertise with 8 photographers from all over the US.
We spent the day going over business strategies, posing and photographed 3 sweet newborn girls.

Had the pleasure of photographing Brittany for her High School Senior Photos. Her are just a few of my favs…can you guess where I travelled to for her session? 🙂
Both are lovely…at home newborn sessions are perfect for families that prefer more lifestyle poses, like the photos above. Some moms prefer the session in the comfort of their own home. I bring along a suitcase of props to choose from and also my posing bag! Sessions take 2-3 hours.
Studio sessions are great for posing newborns. My studio is located in North Caldwell, NJ, about a 25 min drive from NYC. I keep the studio at a warm temperature and have tons of props to choose from! You can also have lifestyle photos with mom and dad done during the studio session as well..I always encourage moms and dads to be in a few photos…you will be happy you did! Sessions also take about 2-3 hours. I have a TV area and plenty of space to relax…and even nap 🙂
Both are sessions great options! If you can’t decide on which session to choose…you can add on a Sweetie Session at my studio to your newborn package! You receive 10 images, each photo beautifully edited of your sweet newborn.
I am currently offering a complimentary 6 month session at my studio with any newborn session. The 6 month session takes place at my studio in North Caldwell, NJ, Monday- Thursday at 9am. 6 months is such a cute age and a perfect time for photos once your baby is sitting up!
